A super moon and celestial friends will come down to float on Seokchonhosu Lake for one month, starting on September 1. This year’s ‘Super Moon Project’ is Lotte Department Store’s third large public art project, following in the footsteps of ‘Rubber Duck’ in 2014 and ‘1600 Pandas’ of 2015.

Super Moon, with a diameter of 20 meters, is created by the American public art project FriendswithYou. The artwork represents the moon shining down without reserve on people who may be feeling alienated by the dark night. Super Moon will appear to float on Seokchonhosu Lake from 6PM, gradually changing through a rainbow of colors as the month passes.

In addition to the large display at the lake, visitors can see a related exhibition as well as various fundraising events at Lotte World Mall Avenuel Art Hall. For more details, please visit the official website.
