Lotte World Tower, Korea’s tallest skyscraper with a height of 555 meters, is currently in preparation for the New Year Countdown Festival. Visitors are invited to join in on this once in a year event, as this is the first New Year countdown celebration to take place at Lotte World Tower and its surrounding area.
A performance stage will be prepared with seats offered to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis. As the event takes place late at night of December 31, hand warmers will be distributed to the audience.
In reference to 123-story high Lotte World Tower, a special countdown button ceremony will take place 123 seconds before midnight with 123 selected participants. To volunteer as the countdown ceremony participant, visit the Lotte World Tower & Mall Facebook page to turn in a request.

Besides the countdown event, stage performances by acoustic bands, jazz bands, trot singers, and K-pop stars as well as a cheerleading squad in support of a successful event of the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 will be prepared to entertain spectators of all ages.
